Easter blue skies.
It has been glorious here for weeks now whilst the rest of the UK gets snow etc.
For once the west coast has been basking in sunshine, it has been cold but the clear
skies and sunshine lift ones soul :-)
So making the most of the weather we went for a day trip to Tobermory on Mull.

Rannoch obviously scared then spent the whole journey hiding here.

Tobermory once an old fishing port is a pretty town with a slight
shabby air about it.
Its buildings are painted but it doesn't have the feel of a similar town
you would find on the south coast of England.

It hosts a distillery.
The day was gorgeous we had a scrummy pub lunch washed down
with a large cool glass of rose and we went for a stroll around.

we saw a great car with a cool windscreen banner.
we then got the ferry home after a lovely day trip :-)

girls,diy and walks......
Seems I haven't blogged in a while DIY is taking over our lives.
I did manage to get away for a weekend break to Glasgow without camera sadly. A catch up with old friends weekend girls only. But I had an amazing afternoon here and would highly reccomend it. I bought a lovely botanical print :-)
We sampled a few coffee shops and wine bars had a champagne cocktail or two.
Had a lovely breakfast here where I also bought some goodies from their lovely deli shop for our new kitchen.
To my surprise the best meal of the weekend was had here
Glasgow is a lovely city, my older son is at Uni here so it is always nice to visit and see him
and of course he doesn't turn down a free meal with his mum and her friends.
The architecture is gorgeous its a lovely city to stroll round day and night.
Some more local pics for you Andy and I went a lovely walk beach walk last night we were joined by a flock of turnstones.

Pan-STARRS
Andy who is a bit of an Astronomy geek, wanted to see Pan-STARRS comet. So on monday
evening we wrapped up warm, made a flask of coffee took some chocolate and headed
to the beach with friends.
The sky was clear ......we looked and looked...
We shivered and shivered, coffee and chocolate consumed....
getting colder and colder we gave up after 2 hours.
Not to be defeated we gave it another go we drove down to Cuil Bay earlier this evening.
Wrapped up warm and eager, the sky was clear and we were hopeful.
We parked the car and and scanned the sky and......
There it was
It was a lovely evening so we lingered after the comet had set and took a couple of photo's
of the stunning moon.
For a way more technical explanation of it all if it interests you check out Andy's blog

cheerio Sparky .....
Sparky journeyed south today.
He has relocated, he has gone to live back with my son.
This is a pic of him in my son's car .... heading home.

I have grown to really love this little man and he has lived up to his name.
He will be missed but will come back to visit.
He arrived back in the town he used to live in and soon began to retrace his old stomping ground

spring is round the corner....
It's been cold and bleak here for a while. So to wake up to sunshine and blue sky this morning was lovely.
Sadly I spent all day in the office so it was great to get out with the dogs after work to watch the sunset.
Only had my phone with me, so picture taken on that.

reminiscing .....my dear,deers !
Its blowing a gale and intermittently snowing and hailing here today.
So with thoughts of changing my blog page round a bit. I have been looking through photo's.
Those of you who were with me in our old rented inn, will remember our daily visitors.
We now get a whole herd of them behind our new cottage garden and righlty so they are timid of humans.
Unlike Doris and Bambi were....
